The O-RAN ALLIANCE's next Generation Research Group (nGRG) is delighted to publish three research reports. These reports are the first set of publications from nGRG and address the use cases, AI/ML and security aspects of next generation mobile networks. The reports represent the insights of 26 distinguished nGRG participants on various topics for the evolution of Open RAN towards 6G:
These reports can be downloaded from the Research Reports section of the O-RAN website. More research reports will be published under the same location.
nGRG is a research group within the O-RAN ALLIANCE that provides a forum to facilitate O-RAN related 6G research efforts and to publish research findings. nGRG leverages industry and academic 6G research efforts and determines how O-RAN may evolve to support 6G and beyond, considering regional research efforts, ITU-R, and 3GPP development. The current research topics include use cases, standards gap analysis, architecture, AI/ML, security, and next generation research platforms.
